Spare The Shapes was made in 48 hours for the GMTK 2023 Game Jam. The theme is "ROLES REVERSED".  In a reversal of roles, you are the villain in a bullet hell game... But you lose EXP when your bullets kill your enemies!

- HOW TO PLAY -

Shapes will chase you as your guns fire uncontrollably. Destroying the shapes causes you to lose EXP. Lose too much, and you'll level down at the end of the round. If a shape touches you even ONCE, you lose!

- CONTROLS -

WASD - Move

Space - Dash

- TIPS -

• Try and spare the shapes at first so that you will survive the later levels.
• Dashing is a double edged sword, as it causes your guns to fire a burst of extra bullets. Use it sparingly!
• Use obstacles to your advantage.
